Who Are We?
Our goal is simple: to provide a clear, research-grounded digest of the most relevant developments each week.
We track partnerships, policy shifts, funding announcements, emerging technologies, public health initiatives, and clinical insights so that professionals working in prevention, treatment, and advocacy can stay informed without having to sift through dozens of scattered sources.

Glad you found us. Thank you for being part of this community.
My name is Allison, founder and editor of The Gambling Council. I bring my own lived experience to this work, backed by a network of advisers — clinicians, researchers, and practitioners in the problem gambling field.
Since 2018, the gambling landscape has changed dramatically. Treatment demand is up, regulation is evolving state by state, and new research continues to reshape how clinicians, policymakers, and families understand risk and recovery.

Independence is critical to our mission.
In a field where research, treatment, and media are increasingly funded by the gambling industry itself, independence matters. Funding shapes priorities — and priorities shape what gets covered, studied, and recommended. We are committed to being an independent voice in the problem gambling field.
